You can't buy '08. As far as I know no store is certified to have had it in Beis Din possesion at Zman Habiur and thus it is assur behana.
its chometz?

nothing to do with pesach. 08 was shmita. (Not sure what zman habiur is in regards to shmita)

Fruit of shemita must be destroyed at the end of shmita. The only way around this is if during the deadline (sukkos?) It belonged to beis din. The problem is that to the best of my knoweldge not a single store is ceritifed to have transferred ownership.

By far my favorite wine:
Cardova Rioja (from Spain)
https://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=20192#

You can find the 2009 for like $12 - $13 online. This wine is better than some $100 bottles I have had.
I wasn't aware it was so cheap. I have only had the 2011. It's a great wine and great value.

Personally I find the Gabriele Chianti to be the best wine for it's price (under $20).

P.S. I never used this website. For illustration purposes only.

i usually like what you recommend, so before i try it are you refering to this? http://jwines.com/barkan-classic-pinotage-2.html
no this, http://jwines.com/barkan-reserve-barrel-aged-pinotage-2.html sorry for being unclear

to explain a tad more i found it to be very smooth and super light while still having decent (13.5%) alchohol content.
I'm only advising it as a purim wine for someone who can't handle or does not want a full bodied wine but wants fully dry under $20. If you drink this with a spicy/greasy  meat dish you will probably be dissapointed. That being said it tastes great and is also a good segue for someone just starting to drink fully dry.

+1 unbelievable value for the price.
beware though that a chianti is a different sort of wine and you may not appreciate it (i personally love it)

I already +1 on the Rioja.

The Chianti is my second favorite cheap wine.

It's like we're twins or something ;)

All Israeli wine of '08 is assur behnaha if it wasn't in the possession of Beis Din or hefker at a certain point of the year in '08. The wine certification does NOT mean this was done - it merely says it was kosher until that point.

Furthermore, as it is shmita, you cannot sell it. It is also Kadosh, so you should now throw it out, rather leave it to spoil first.

so my question is did any companies give their wine to beis din and that specific wine is a problem or all wine is a problem

All the wine is a problem
All I am going to add to this is that each individual should ask their LOR.  There are 3 methods of "circumventing" Shemittah which different Rabbi's have different psak's on each of the 3.  They are: otzar beis din, heter mechirah and yevul nochri.  The Yiron 08 was done through otzar beis din.  That should be all of the information you need to ask your LOR.

With all due respect, while both threads discuss wine they are very different and should not be merged. Mods dropped the ball on this one.

Had some of this today in honor of Tu B'shvat- was actually quite tasty.

Though I don't know if it really belong in the wine section....

http://www.morad.co.il/english/Product.php?Url_ID=22

It is considered a wine. Had it last year pesach and liked it a lot.
