When i sold wine in my younger years a lot of people ordered cases of those.
If i remember correctly, 1 size bottle was Mevushal and one was not, so if someone is having over guests who aren't Shomer Shabbos it pays to read the label before buying.
Some people like it halachikly because unlike (most?) other Kedem wines it doesn't have any added sugar.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Megillah case.  :P
Agav, I somehow have a Jeunesse-brand sleeve for packing two bottles of wine. (When I go away, I usually use one side for wine for my host and the other side for my wife's neros Shabbos holder and tea lights.) Not sure where to get one - I think my father brought it for Pesach when he came a few years ago and then left it with me.
Mailing tube is cheaper and doubles as a megila case

Kedem Matuk Rouge Soft.
I have a hard time drinking alcohol, so I use Matuk Kal by my seder. Instead of the 7.5% in the Rouge Soft, it has only 4.5%

What's the Brisker shiur?

I know that many avoid Concord Kal for it's lower alcohol content, but Matuk Kal is higher...

oh the blasphemy of posting such a deal on DDF
Sorry, wanted the picture, was too lazy to cut out the price.

Anyways, I was actually a huge fan of Nestea. I thought Brisk was too sweet and lacked complexity.

I think there is supposed to be some other problem with the fakeness (is that a word) of the light wines. I was mekabel from a fellow who seemed to know his stuff that the only genuine light wine is Kalil (4%). I have no idea what he meant, though, so add appropriate Sodium Chloride - just not to the wine.

Anyways, I said earlier that I wanted something that felt like wine, so that's why Matuk Rouge was my choice.

There is a svorah that I've heard from both Rav Yisroel Belsky zt"l and yblch"t Rav Yisroel Reisman, which I believe the OU relies on Lehalachah.

They both said that wine can naturally only reach a certain percentage of alcohol (I think about 11.5%) before the alcohol will kill the fermentation process, and wines with higher alcohol content included ADDED alcohol. In the times of the gemara, it says that there were two common ratios for diluting wine in water, 1:2 and 1:3. If 1:3 is still considered wine, and naturally wine cannot have even 12 percent alcohol, that means that wine that is only 3 percent alcohol is considered wine.

I heard this a number of years ago, so maybe I'm mixing up small details, but the main point is as they said it.

There is a catch though. The yeast that is used to ferment the grape juice is a living organism. Even if you grow and crush the sweetest grapes, the yeast can only live so long. Most natural yeast will be killed by an alcohol content of around 13 - 15%. This means they can't keep converting sugars into alcohol. To get the highest alcohol content wines, the winemaker needs to work outside of natural fermentation.

Indeed. I just found the svorah online, and it says 14%, with a mixing ratio of 1:3, which results in 3.5%.

Thats true. It isn't perfect. But the idea is to get a rough estimate of the percentage of women because we don't have enough women on DD to get a clear picture.
Perhaps I'm missing something, but afaik, that's not how percentages work.
If biobook's 80% is 80 people and yungermanchik's 20% is 1 person, your poll only looks at them as 2 ppl. Which means 50% of women like wine. Even though the actual math rounds off to 77%.

Its hard for 1 person to be 20%. It's either 0 or 100%.
But its also hard to only have 1 person anyways. We included mothers, wives, sisters and daughters. So people ussually have at least 4+ of those in a standard Frum home.
And its hard to have more than 10-12 unless you come from an all girl family and are older with many daughters...
