Flam 2012 Reserve Cab was very good.
Try the Merlot.

I'm shocked you don't use Ridel :P

HA... as one who has seen my wines multiple times you should know I dont scrimp. Riedel is specific and amazing, I host and hosted as well multiple DDF members and other wine events, schott zweisel is king for quality and endurance

Sure they break and sure bed bath and beyond replaces, but they arent sending in armies of cleaning ladies to clean up the glass.

Swing by when your back, i'll show you how awesome the schott zweisel tritan is

Try the Merlot.

Strangely, Flam merlot and Cab are $10+ more than the syrah

Any idea how the 2011 compares to the 2012? I had the '11 but can only find the '12 for purchase.

no idea sorry... im not a wine critic, i'll remember how a 2004 pontet canet tastes but city winery pv 11 or 12 is beyond me, I taste hundreds of wines per year.

If any one wants to join a tasting at city winery and or drew's goblet wines..  I can set it up and fly in.

Had the Syrah too and liked it. Cab though a bit more.

I personally don't see why someone should pay more than that.

The 03 is around 350, but it doesn't last that long, it probably wouldn't be any good now

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Average bottle cost with shipping?

its a matter of wine, i rather not put discounts in open.. ddf undergroudd knows

Also, the Guild is REALLY amazing and cheap, $36 a bottle delivered for very unique wines its 2 types of wines, 3 bottles. twice a year https://www.hajduwines.com/Wine-Clubs

Shirah wine club is a bit cheaper at $30 a bottle https://shirahwine.com/product/wine-club-membership/

Say what, wine clubs ?!?! Traditionally these have been a turn off, usually people get wines they dont like etc.

Hajdu Guild is really special, he does one barrel of a wine.. 300 bottles, 100 members x 3 bottles.. Ever had a kosher nebbilo? I assumed not.

With Shirah, it allows them to focus on wines that traditionally are different while not worrying about sales

You may love basil, but zak the baker holds his own in different styles
