Need to pick up a bottle or two of wine for shabbos.
 Don't really drink wine so don't know the First thing about it. ;) (Don't know if that deserves a wink.)

   Have around $150 worth to spend on either one nice bottle or 2 $75 bottles.
  Doesn't have to be $75 bottle a $50 or one $100..
 A nice bottle.

 Any idea what I should get? The guys do enjoy wine so whatever I get I'm sure they'll enjoy.

 Thanks guys!

 Also is there a problem if I would buy a bottle like the Cave and have it on a table where there will be waiters(as Its not mevushal)? (Obviously I'll make sure they don't touch the bottle?)

 It's been awhile since I went through the wine and whisky handbook.(if I did drink I guess I would know these halachos, or at least cared to remember what I read).

@AJK @AsherO or even dan..
@Dan

  I don't plan on reading through this whole thread, but it seems you guys are very active in the beginning so.

No problem having a non-mevushal bottle if Goyim don't touch it, according to some even touching is OK as long they don't pour.

In the $75 range Castel Grand Vin 16/17 are great. In the $150 range Yarden Katzrin & Chateu Malartic are great. There are many good options though. 3-4x Tzora Shoresh may be the best bang for your buck.

In the end there was no goyim, so a non mevashal bottle would have been fine.
 But we did end up having one big non mevushal bottle, Castel Grand Vin 2L.

 Choice was from between these 5..

Hertzog Rutherford
One plus Hertzog's $150
Single vineyard
Fluam novel
Hertzog's clone 6 $150

Had a bunch of good bottles in the end.

Anyone ever had Katlav wines?
I just tasted the Nes Harim, and was blown away! Not you're typical Israeli wine, really funky.

Theyre hit or miss. Their peak was the ‘13 cab.

I had the '16 Nes Harim, I loved the earthy and dirty notes not typically found in Israeli wines.

Just picked up a case of Bartenura Malvasia, any idea how to read the date code for the expiration?

 Also curios if anyone has it for any cheaper than tops liquor store in Brooklyn at $9.99 a bottle if you buy a case (x12).

Cool, thanks.
  Wonder how long an average bottle can last?

A wine with sulfites shouldn't go bad too fast.
