Capital One spark approved, immediately requested verification (online).

Requested a cellphone for text. But the cellphone number wasn't good for verification.

Called, and Cap1 offered photo of drivers license as alternative.

1. Anything i can do to get the cellphone number verification eligible?

2. The person who applied doesn't have a drivers license or state ID. Would passport work?

Passport should work I think, it's just ID verification.

For the phone number to work it has to be registered in his name.
I think it only works on post paid phone plans...

Sounds like a DROPR, no logical verification reason that only license would work.

I filled it out and got unrestricted a week later.
I didn’t lie or misrepresent anything in my application. But very annoying they release a new bonus only to make people jump through hoops to use their cards again.

So went for a spark (have a different card with them already) and got denied due to - Thank you for applying for a credit card issued by Capital One®. Unfortunately, after reviewing your
application, we cannot approve your request at this time.
· Based on your application information, the balance on one or more Capital One accounts has
exceeded the credit limit


The terms of the application do say - "I understand that I am not eligible for this offer if: I am over my credit line on a Capital One credit card

About a week ago they did let me exceed the limit on my card by 9k, i did so paid it off and the payment posted a few days ago already...

When does that flag clear??

Anyone know how long it usually takes to get the card from date of approval? And whether they'll expedite if requested? Got approved last night and would love to have it for BF and CM.
