5 Gallon Batch

8oz of Honey Malt
3.3lbs Pilsen Light liquid malt extract
3lbs Wheat dry malt extract

.5oz Fuggles hops (60 min)
.5oz Fuggles (30 min)
.5oz freshly crushed coriander (10 min)
1oz sweet orange peel (10 min)

1 package Wyeast 3944 Belgian Witbier Liquid yeast
5oz corn sugar for priming

No need for a secondary fermenter on this one. Let it sit on the yeast cake for 2 weeks and it should be ready to bottle then. Measure the SG first to make sure its ready obviously.
Enjoy!
This one is done!

Plenty of time for a brew before that. Assuming you have time.

I don't know how I never noticed this thread until now.  My absolute hands down favorite domestic brew is Yeungling (Lager... years ago they made an Ale that I liked just as much).  And the Yeungling brewery in Pottsville, PA is a very fun tour - totally different from the others I went to.  They have a network of underground caves where they used to store the beer before refrigeration existed.

I'm also a fan of most Sam Adams flavors (especially Octoberfest, but ESPECIALLY Cherry Wheat), anything Magic Hat (another interesting brewery), and anything cheap and light enough to drink quickly out of red solo cups with a large group of friends....

As far as foreign beer, I've been into Heinekin in recent months.  In college I was very fond of Killians Irish Red.

Duvel, Kasteel, Chimay and Maredsous are all amazing International beers but they are quite costly especially in Israel.
I know in the states Costco used to sell a 3 pack of Chimay beer with a beer glass for much cheaper then what you will pay in any liquor store.

They are, but there seems to be a disproportionate amount of Belgian/wheat beer lovers on DDF. More than there are hopheads.
I'm gonna add a poll.
ETA. I can't figure out how to add a poll. Is the option still available? I've done it before...

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Only I can add a poll. What would you like all the options to be?

I was thinking,

1. Belgians and wheat(wit).
2. Stouts, Porters, and dark lagers
3. India Pale Ales and Pale Ales
4. Pale Lagers, Pilsners, and light lagers
5. Brown or Red Ales.

Anyone want to add or subtract anything? I can add examples for each style if desired...
