Definitely nothing special if you live in Bkln or Lakewood, but in a city with nothing else pas yisroel they're not so bad.
This is how I view TJ's as well. It's not replacing my trips to Brooklyn or Monsey, but it I find myself going there instead of my local Shoprite or Stop and Shop. I am one of those people who lives halfway between 'out-of-town' and 'in-town'. I find myself in Monsey or Brooklyn once every 4-6 weeks where I stock up on meat, cheese, etc. I find myself in Trader joes 2x per week, where we buy almost everything else - milk/eggs/bread/etc.
In fact the only time I hit stop and shop any more is on Thursday nights where DW needs that one ingredient to finish cooking for shabbos.
