I have the Garmin 1690 its the ONLY Garmin i found that comes with 2 years google search free, which means you can search addresses by phone number or you could put in the word Kosher and it will find you all the Kosher restaurants in the area.

If lifetime maps is not important to you, here is this is the same one as Ergel, except it only has lifetime traffic not the map updates and its 109$ which is quite decent.

Most techies that I know tend to stay far away from refurb electronics used is ok but refurb means something got messed up badly enough that it had get fixed (and it probably want fixed all that well)

Mfr Refurb in gps is either a return, broken screen or cracked usb port.

I do have a smartphone, but I find that using it as a gps really drains the battery...
