Hope this is the right thread.
I moved here from Israel for half a year ago and got a green card I have no high school deploma.
I went to an american yeshiva so I actually have around 72 credits (don't remember right now could check if nessesary).
Now that I can study in america I would like to get a degree.
So my q. Is what do I need to do now? Do I need to do a GED? Or under graduate school? Or will colleges accept me without it?
You can definitely attend colleges like FDU or Touro's SLE branch with what u have now....

If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

Is this for an MBA? An MBA that's not from NYU, Columbia, penn, Harvard Etc. Is pretty much useless. Especially if it was done yeshivesh (no undergrad or fake FDU undergrad, no WE or fake WE). No employers will hire you with that, and the ones that do (meridian, eastern union and other commission jobs) would have hired you without it too.

Finally, usefull info :)

you are one million percent right except if you have a job waiting and all you need isa degree. otherwise its almost as good as nothing. I have a friend who is in law school in goerge washington, he said all he hears about the MBA programs is the connections they make. doing something online wont et you any connections. that was his advice to me last month when i was considering an online MBA program

I did my undergraduate through that program. Has helped me when I was looking for a job. Afterall, why should the company hire someone straight out of bmg with no education then someone with at least a batchlors degree. Im not sure abt the MBA program.

Start with the BA and then after go for a graduate/masters degree if you wish.

So someone said they will FORSURE hire you if you get an MBA from any school? I would double check that and get that in writing. If he/she already decided to hire you why do they need you to get a no name MBA? If not I wouldn't rely on it. You want advice on getting a solid job in the financial sector go to a REAL college (not touro not FDU forsure not BTL) Cuny can be fine if you can do it in Baruch or major in accounting. Obviously NYU stern undergrad is or Columbia undergrad would be ideal but those are really hard to get into. Maybe sy syms school. Graduate with good grades get a decent job work your butt off and study for GMATS gets a great grade on GMAT get into good business school. Get recruited by the heavy hitters.

Going yeshivesh on this won't help you at all. Unless you family is loaded and your going into the business, in that case I'm not sure why you need an MBA.

The only way it would help is if someone is currently employed, and his/her employer says that the MBA is necessary in order to get a raise, promotion etc. Then the exact program hardly matters. There are even companies that will pay for the graduate degree...

And the employer won't care which school you go to? If so then sure it's worth it, not sure if there is such a thing though

There are two degrees, a BA= a bachelor of arts. This is first. It is offered from FDU and all colleges also offered from most american yeshivas. Once you have a BA you can apply for a Masters degree (MA), this is offered by most colleges including FDU.

Once you're doing all that school, you may as well be a dentist

I'm looking into computer science was thinking about a bachelor and then a master just that someone pointed out to me that it may be better to do a certificate that do a degree I wanted to hear what other people think of that
