Which insurance company is cheapest for first car  was not on my parents insurance

Try progressive & state farm using a agent can help you set up the right discounts etc.

Go anywhere for a few months then quote it out again and change to a cheaper carrier. Worked for me many years ago. (IIRC it's sort of like the inability to get credit when you don't have a credit score but you can't get a credit score unless you have credit.)

just spend some time online getting quotes from everyone, it will get you some junk mail, but it can save you hundreds of dollars a month

that depends on many factors like your age, how long you've had a license where you live, and what kind of insurance

I just got Nationwide by adding my dad as a second driver for $190

In my personal experience going to an agent could be a huge difference. They just know what discounts to apply. I don’t think you’re paying a lot ( although depending what coverage you got), but you should be able to do better.

did this and got great quote with Nationwide from spero insurance in Baltimore
