Bonvoy chase vs Marriott

I had a chase Marriott card and an Amex dog which are both now Bonvoy.  I am paying annual fee on both.  What are the pros and cons of each card to make it worth paying the annual fee on both?

Amex dog?? I assume you mean Amex SPG?
Either way; I have both too. I was gonna close the Chase Bonvoy since the SPG (now Bonvoy) is my only Amex and Amex is better for some things (such as disputes). For now I am keeping both though since they both have the free anniversary night and that alone is easily worth $95

I had both these cards but I decided now to close one of them so I closed the chase one bec amex has better benefits in general.
Only question im still wondering is -who offers better retention offers? Do they both offer retention offers every year? My amex bonvoy card fee just came up and I called up for retention and theyre not offering me anything. Should I be expecting a retention offer?
