Topic Wiki

Would love this thread to help people not to make mistakes and prevent aggravation!
I will start

1. Always add a working contact Israeli number starting with +972/
2. Always make sure to add your Passport/ת''ז ontime within First day or 2 of your order if not your order will be canceled.
3. Never put in a pickup destination if you don`t want to go pick it up and wait the courier must bring it to your door. (do not answer the Text/Email asking you where to drop off)
4. If your order doesn't come ontime you could get a Credit for late timing try chating.
5. Never exceed the value of $75.00
6. make sure you have $49.00 of eligible items
7. Beware that if you send a few packages close together, they may still charge you TAX/VAT so it is best to wait a few days in between or try getting them different dates or different couriers, or send one on your name and one on your wifes or neighbors. Or to a family member, needs to be over the age of 18
8. You can get subscribe and save discounts (5%) on your first order, but you can't actually subscribe and save.
9. There are 2 types of zip codes use the 7 digit that starts with a "9"

Here is a list of Couriers that ship with Amazon to Israel

Ignore the text messages from cheeta and bar, they just send a large quantity of them in order to trick you to pick a drop-off spot.

If you don't reply, they will deliver it to your door.

I already received 6 text messages in the last 24 hours (I ignored all of them). When will they give up?

According to the website of the Israeli Treasury (משרד האוצר) they can combine it and consider it as one order.

How would they know that two different boxes to two different people are one order?

I've been ordering quite a lot and wait a day between orders. All have been thru doar delivered to my door albeit late. But I do get it. And all orders have been under $75 but shipping can sometimes be $100 and haven't had an issue when it says on the box $175 value.

thats because the cost of shipping does not count - as long as it is a seperate line item on the invoice for shipping.
I had a problem with a European company that added the cost of shipping to the price of the item and i had to pay VAT

I don't know if that's so true. I've had shipping included towards vat quite a few times from other companies.

Right.  Thank g-d. Taxes on $175 Shipping would be a little ridiculous.

Still don't see how this can be profitable. Got a $5 one liter bottle of Listerine delivered by itself on Friday
Also starting to feel guilty about the carbon footprint
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Definitely can't be profitable.

Though my last order everything arrived together and was actually delayed for one item which was OOS.

The Profit is the info they are gathering
But if they would have come to me I could have gave them a bit of advice on Israelis habits and spending.... (anyone could give)

Yes, because your anecdotal advice would really be worth a lot to them

And it's been over two months. How much data do they need to gather (not complaining... Happy to provide them all the data they need 😁)

I guess they are trying to see which items people need.
My advice is one thing Israelis only buy if youre the cheapist..... nd suck out every promo and will go to the grocery if anything is 1 Shekel cheaper

They tend to spam you with texts. Just ignore them and wait. Eventually, a delivery person will come with your package.
They (Israel Post) are BIG FAT LIARS!!!
Both me and my wife were home at the mentioned time. I followed all the instructions given upthread. I got multiple texts from them, and followed everyone's advice and ignored them. Now they claim they couldn't deliver and dropped it at the (not so) local post office. Worlds worst shipping company!
I had another package shipped with Aramex yesterday, sent me 2 text messages and it was at my door. Without spamming me with endless messages like the Do'ar did.
I hope the lawsuit will shake these guys a bit so we can soon welcome them to 2007! (They're still somewhere in the 1990's...)
