Topic Wiki

Would love this thread to help people not to make mistakes and prevent aggravation!
I will start

1. Always add a working contact Israeli number starting with +972/
2. Always make sure to add your Passport/ת''ז ontime within First day or 2 of your order if not your order will be canceled.
3. Never put in a pickup destination if you don`t want to go pick it up and wait the courier must bring it to your door. (do not answer the Text/Email asking you where to drop off)
4. If your order doesn't come ontime you could get a Credit for late timing try chating.
5. Never exceed the value of $75.00
6. make sure you have $49.00 of eligible items
7. Beware that if you send a few packages close together, they may still charge you TAX/VAT so it is best to wait a few days in between or try getting them different dates or different couriers, or send one on your name and one on your wifes or neighbors. Or to a family member, needs to be over the age of 18
8. You can get subscribe and save discounts (5%) on your first order, but you can't actually subscribe and save.
9. There are 2 types of zip codes use the 7 digit that starts with a "9"

Here is a list of Couriers that ship with Amazon to Israel

But the same lazy shipping company
And everyone's experience is different than that. Again, they will send you a request to choose a pick-up location. Ignore it and they have to bring it to your door

Amazon just wants to reship it... Question is if it's worth waiting another 3 weeks (now updated with my Israeli number), or just break my ego and pick up from the post office...

3 weeks? More like 8 days

And you've spent more time calling the doar, complaining to Amazon and complaining on the internets then it would have taken you to pick it up

That's because I have 2 more orders on the way, and I'm trying to solve the issue long term. I would otherwise have picked it up. I just want Amazon to see, that the post office isn't an option for me.

If you didn't receive a message to choose a pick up point, I'm betting you don't have an Israeli number on your orders.
What happens is that the delivery comes around 10 AM to 2 PM (because who wouldn't be home at that time???) and if you don't answer the door or your phone, they just send it back or drop it off by the doar.

I got another delivery today and the delivery guy already knew where to hide my package since he's been here before.
I already answer his call with "Shalom Yigal" and he replies: "You have a  box in your Miklat".

In any case this free shipping is great! I got my stuff about 4 days after I ordered them. Compare that to Shufersal online (Israeli retailer) where I just got my electric scooter that I ordered three weeks ago and promised "7 day delivery".

There's always the fuse box. They can place the package next to the house keys  ;D

Once came home with a Arab worker and forgot that I didnít have my regular key he asked me ďDonít you have a key under the ledge?Ē Actually most of my building keeps it there.... so he has access to more then the social security.

I have an Amazon order being delivered by GCX. They sent me an email asking be to provide a TZ for customs clearance. Amazon already took that and GCX doesn't accept a passport number.

Safe to ignore?

If you have a Bituach Leumi number, that should work as a Teudat Zehut.

does anyone know if splitting an order - making one order and sending different items to different recipients will have a problem with the over $75 rule?

Different recipients ? Meaning to different people ?
If yes, it's different packages/envelopes  .. so of course you will not have any problem ..

Why is there such a disconnect between posters in this thread and commenters here?
https://www.dansdeals.com/more/sunday-news-roundup-12-22-19-kosher-antarctica-cruise-residence-aa-shutdowns-twa-hotel-amazon-israel-ny-small-claims-change-united-cape-town/
Not really. I think you just need to point out that you need to put an Israeli number on file, and correct the mistake that Israel Post is only delivering from local companies, when in fact they are handling many (perhaps most) of the imports, too.

According to the website of the Israeli Treasury (משרד האוצר) they can combine it and consider it as one order.
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

I made 6 orders between December 9 and December 16th without any problems
