just the same and even more powerful.
Lithium ion batteries have lots of capability.
One thing that this might have over the portable battery pack which fits in your pocket is air pump.

As well you can buy for 10:20 dollars a portable air pump which doesn't weigh 50 lb like this power bank.

I'm still searching for a good solid portable battery booster.
But truth is any pack with a lithium ion battery and has solid reviews take it.
Today already you shouldn't be paying more than fifty bucks for one.
You can find the solid one that has all the safety features if you plug it in the wrong order and can work up to V8 engines as well as multiple uses without needing to be recharged and 3/4 ports as well as flashlight.
The ability to work up to V8 engines means it has a nice cold cranking amp and battery power.
There's literally hundreds of them out there so if you see a good deal on one that's what you should grab more than just getting one because of Brand name.

I'm just worried that the battery will get damaged or worse if I keep it in the car during the summer. Otoh these big ones I don't, I'm not sure why.

Yes lithium ion might lose charge over time which will require you to charge it every 2-3 months while the big ones might not require you to charge it so frequently.

Google might be able to help out with such questions if you like.
as is if you have a Jack, Jack stands and the whole nine yards no biggie if you have a big portable battery pack which I'm not sure why you want.

Maybe because you don't understand how batteries work?

It's actually quite funny, my father has been putting the double-a and Triple-A batteries in the fridge ever since I was a little kid.
while I remember every time it would go below 32 degrees or would be cold outside he would bring it all his drills and batteries so his batteries don't go bad.
go figure, don't know don't ask the batteries work.

If I'm bored one day will Google what where why and how.

i actually saw smaller ones next to this in Walmart. I figured I would spend the extra money for the features it comes with...

on the manual, it says this like all batteries do experience leakage and needs to be recharged every now and than

That's correct. It also has to do with I never heard a story of lead acid batteries exploding (leaking yes) as opposed to lithium I have.

Don't know if it will explode in one day assuming you check on it every month...
yes while with a car battery if you accidentally tighten the positive or negative bolt too hard you will poke it into the battery causing lead acid battery to leak, that's all true if you have a side post terminal not a terminal that's on top on the battery where all you can do is strip the nut and clamp.
