What brand makes the best noise cancelling headphones?

noise canceling? Either way bose qc15 ratings trump beats.

bose qc15 is much better noise cancelling but it also brings with it a really annoying sound/pressure (like the sound of a deep silence).   the beats do a nice job noise cancelling without the added pressure on the ears.    the problem with the beats, studios anyway, is that they don't contain any of the noise of what you're listening to.  everyone around you can hear everything... might not make you friends on a plane.

this is the headphones i swear buy, there very good on the ears and no one can hear you, and it comes with this piece u can turn on or off even off there amazing on flights! you can find them on ebay sometimes for 15 or so, and i have been using these for almost 5 years, (on my 2nd pair)

In the past month or two, Consumer Reports reviewed wired and wireless (including noise cancelling) headphones.

They rate the sets by effectiveness as well as price.

After breaking my first pair(stepped on them and the earpiece snapped in a freak accident), I spent about 2 months doing research before coming right back to these. There is no active noise-cancelling technology, but I swear that even without any music playing, the ability of these earbuds to block out sound is downright scary. I HAVE to take them out when someone is talking to me, even if theyre standing right next to me. Add to that how comfortable they are(I can wear them for hours on end) and the sub-$100 price tag, and I'm fairly certain that these are the best noise-isolating headphones(earbuds) that $100 can buy.

If you are looking for over-the-ear phones, my vote goes to these:

They don't compare to the Bose QC15s or Beats as far as noise-cancelling technology, but they are just as(if not more) comfortable, produce amazing sound quality, and do as good of a job at noise-cancelling as $100 will buy.
