My cards have been through a few fraud charges in th past 6 months. I just caught one from an internet site where it charges $2 every 5 minutes to avoid fraud alerts on big purchases.
I am not 100% sure about this. But I am going to click it anyway.

I once heard that a guy didn't report his card stolen because the crook was spending less than his wife!

Just had today about $1500 in fraud charges till amex put a block,
I'm not sure how they pulled it off.. possibly they cloned it.
Will this have any impact on my relationship with amex?

Anyone hit with fraudulent charges after dining at Kasbeh? I went there and they wrote down my CC info bc "their machine was broken." Got hit with a number of 1k charges on that card over YT. Only other suspect place I charged to that card recently is singapore airlines.

Its easy to make a new card with a magnetic strip.

Just got a brand new cc in the mail today when I tried swiping it didn't work. Chase said they canceled the card because of fraud and they already sent me a new one.
yes its real easy. i work in a business that we print plastic cards/credit cards. if you can obtain someones card by swiping it and saving the swipe info you can print a new card with the chase logo and info and encode with the same info on the mag strip as the real card. emboss their name and number and expiration date. and then use in it any store. i have tried this with one of my personal cards and used it at a Walmart. then shredded it after.

You're not responsible for fraudulent charges, shouldn't have any adverse affect on your relationship with Amex.

Might be easy, but I wouldn't try it at home as it's highly illegal...

I was just thinking this morning how I never had a single fraud charge on any of my accounts. Then I get home and there's the email waiting for me, $144 charge from dish network on a card that all I ever used it for was with serve and ap, with the last time used back in Jan.

Haven't had any fraud in quite some time.

Now in the last 2 weeks I had fraud on my Amex that I always use ($400 charge went through-I caught it) and on my wifes Chase card that we almost never use ($49 charge declined-they caught it).

My father had a charge for Gas on his card, at a station he goes to often but didn't remember going that time. Called up about it and apparently there were 3 charges declined after that but we were never informed. Not sure what happened there.

I have some relatives that use debit cards only and have had fraudulent charges 3 times in the past 6 months. What a pain getting all your funds frozen like that.

Had it for the first time 2 weeks ago after a visit to Arizona. Citi called me about someone attempting to charge my card in Mexico.

Within the span of the last month 3 cards across three banks were hacked, Barclays, Chase, and amex. 1 small fraud charge on each, porn, I think. Bank caught each. Should I be worried ? couldn't come up with a common store that used all 3 at.

Speaking of CC fraud
I do order verification for a living, and the different reactions ppl have when they are informed that there CC was compromised, it goes from Thank you to you are the fraudster to how did you know....

But the older you are the more scared you are.
