JUST ADD RANDOM NAMES! Not sure what people aren't getting about this.

Either way, they don't ask for DOB so wouldn't make a difference.

I thought amex asks for dob and ssn to activate authorized employee cards?

I know I can add myself as AU but is it a problem to add a few cards with my name & my social cuz otherwise they cancel the AU cards after a certain amount of time…

but adding oneself as an AU one time is no issue?

Some stores ask for ID when swiping
Most, I'd say 99%, don't. Not to mention, most transactions are not done in person, but obviously that is different for each individual.

No, they arrive activated. Officially Amex will deactivate the card if you provide SSN within 60 days, but IME that has not been the case.

From amex confirmation email

"Make sure each Employee Card Member confirms their Card when it arrives.

If we do not have their Social Security Number and date of birth, they’ll need to provide it when confirming their Card.

American Express needs this info to verify their identity and comply with federal regulations.*
If they don’t have a Social Security Number, they can call the number on the back of their Card for assistance."

Maybe because it is illegal?  :)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Ok...
Firstly, just because T&C say something, doesn't mean it's enforced.

Second, nowhere on there does it say you need to confirm the card in order to use it. If you choose to, you will need a SSN.

I have firsthand knowledge of employee cards that were added as random names, never confirmed and have gotten a bonus for each and every one.

You do you though.

Any problem reciprocating on this?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Amex sure as hell ain't my legal council. Lawyer would probably tell me it's against T&C, and can be fraud in particular instances, but highly doubtful this would fall under any of those.

I don't remember the age, but it's either 16 or 18 if they have one. I've never confirmed a card.
