Don't think it's overreach, it's just enforcement of laws that were crafted in a different era and no longer make sense. Once they are informed of the violation they need to enforce, but the laws gotta change fast.

If you mean that they shouldn't need to have any sort of CUA or pay anything, I'm not sure I agree. They themselves said it's not about the money, but about the process stifling their ability to effectively make videos in NP's. So maybe the process needs to change.

For those that watch Kara and Nate, they were reported and fined for filming commercially in national parks. I was looking forward to their national park travels.

Win for them: "A federal judge has struck down as unconstitutional the National Park Service's practice of charging commercial filmmakers who want to shoot in the National Park System, ruling it is a protected activity under the First Amendment."
