50,000 Radisson Gold Points with 1 stay

For anyone in the CLE area, there is a Radisson near Great Northern Mall with relatively inexpensive rates.  Shop til you drop on Black  Friday then get a room $63+tx??

Sample dates, some rates are fully prepaid, all are before taxes, none include any discount rates (AAA/AARP/etc):

For November:
11/12 = $90
11/18 = $81
11/23 = $90
11/24 = $70
11/25 = $63
11/26 = $63

#1- Can you book a room for someone else using gold points?
#2- Can you be eligible for the 50K if you book via Orbitz, Hotels.com, Priceline etc...

1) Yes (you can add them to a reservation and they could check in, AFAIK).
2) Nope.

A certain Blogger posted as follows (based on a conversation with Radission):

    Any rate that earns Gold Points will be eligible for the promotion bonus. This means Advance Purchase, AAA, Senior, package rates (breakfast, parking etc.) and any other rate that normally earns Gold Points qualifies for the promotion bonus. (This is another change from the original promotion wording.)

You are not supposed to earn points, stay credits, or promotions from any hotel chain unless you book directly.

He's right.

Ineligible Room Rates and other exclusions include: employee rates, family and friend rates, airline crew rates, travel agent rates, hotel employee rates, room rates that are billed on a master bill, tour operator rates, wholesaler rates, or rates booked through online travel companies or other third parties in which you pay for that booking directly to such online travel company or third party.

Let me make it easier. I will do it for you if you pay for my room. You are responsible to book your own room.  Date is 12/3 in bloomfield MI. Should be around $70 if we book within a few days from now.

Its all a moot point if the name on the reservation and CC needs to be the one checking in.

Can I book multiple rooms with different club accounts or will the check-in people ask questions?
