Can anybody recommend an efax service for free!
« on: November 02, 2011, 04:54:00 PM »
Does anybody know of an efax service that is free? I used to have an efax# that was some weird area code that only allowed a very limited amount of faxes for free and if you go over they suspend your account. Can anybody recommend an efax service which you can receive faxes for free (to email) and as a bonus allows free outgoing as well?

Thank You

Xchange Telecom, a heimish phone company in Brooklyn offers e-fax for $5 a month. You get up to 250 incoming pages. For the ability to send outgoing faxes, they charge another dollar or two. Call and ask about it 646-722-7200

Hi, I f you need a free fax service only for sending you can use http://www.freepopfax.com - it is absolutely for free.

As for free inbound faxing, you can use http://www.popfax.com, it provides free and unlimited reception of faxes for only 3.99 eur/month, but you still have 20 faxes for free to send.

Good luck !

Read the thread.

Can anyone suggest a site that allows 1) free faxing (just need ability to send, not receive), 2) with no ads on the cover page, and 3) a fax confirmation of what was sent?

I'm looking for all three, but at the very least the first two.

From what I read above, either there are ads, or the website does not indicate whether there are ads or not.

Anyone with personal experience?

If periodically, and not stuff that can get me in trouble, I don't mind sending them for you.

Much appreciated.

I was hoping to find a way to do it on my own so I wouldn't have to bother people (you included).

+1

I have used that a couple times, but there was no confirmation page of what exactly got sent. But points for finding one that has the first two requirements.

Thanks.

I presume the latter does not need to be free.

What kind of info do you want to fax? Plain text will do?

Figured its better than starting a new thread. Any updates about best site to send e-fax? I need to sent a fax to Italy.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I've been using fax zero but it only works for 2 page faxes (they let 3-4 pages slip through though).

I just discovered a site that lets you do many pages (I sent an 11 page fax) only 1 time and then they want you to sign up. Add periods to your email address to reuse.
http://www.myfax.com/free/

I doubt either of these will work for Italy though...

Anybody find a free fax service that will send encrypted faxes? I'm kinda wary of faxing anything with personal information using any of the free services. Myfax paid version offers 128 bit encryption but I don't want to pay anything just to send 3 faxes....

Thanks. Doesn't look like the free version offers encryption either but I'll stop being cheap and pay 0.98 for the paid version with encryption.
