Amazon Prime Charge
« on: April 26, 2021, 12:49:19 PM »
BEWARE: I reviewed my credit card charges and realized that I'm being charged the Amazon prime monthly charge of $12.99 for a few months already although I have a yearly membership. This charge was not detected for a while as it's a very common amount with my Amazon purchases. A long phone conversation with Amazon confirmed that my card was probably compromised by a third party and made a membership using my CC.

Why don't you switch to yearly membership?

On a related note, i received an email purportedly from Amazon telling me that my yearly membership had come due and the credit card on file had expired.  This was a SCAM.

You can easily check the renewal date of your membership online.  And, of course, look at the email addresses used by the sender or the link that they want you to click on.
