It is still on their website with no expiration. The email address there is- Hertzstatusmatch@hertz.com

Hertz just matched my National Executive status to Hertz Five Star Gold. Sent them an email yesterday with a copy of my National statement. Fast response.

at airports many times when i reserved a full size they "upgraded" me to a town car or grand marquis

hence the quotation marks on the word upgrade. however once they phase those cars out of the fleets it should be pretty decent. maxima, lacrosse etc

as far as i know , hertz won't match to platinum . but its awesome service ( not in NY anymore ) pick up form the airport , best car on the lot , no extra fee for late check in , etc.
you can get it for $1250 a year

As a five star member I got upgraded (from a full size) almost everytime. Sometimes the upgrades were mediocre, and sometimes it was downright refused - opting for a full size instead.
I've gotten:
Nissan Rouge
Ford Escape (multiple times, and at different locations)
Buick Regal (a great car!)
Shevy Traverse
and others...
Now as a President's circle member, we'll see what comes my way...
