I think it really depends on how often you plan to use the scooter and what type of terrain you'll be on. with hills you'll need more power or you'll be kicking the scooter up the hill and wearing out your shoes. This is true even on Bird, Lime, Lyft, etc.
If you're planning to bring into the office (as I did pre covid) or leave in a car trunk you'll want easy folding. If you need to lock it up like a bike you'll need to research locks for various scooters (it's not something that seems to be easily done on many scooters). And then there's speed. Going over 20 for me can get pretty scary on two small wheels. but anything under 12 mph feels painfully slow. A solid 16-18 mph is my preferred zone.
Lastly, wear a helmet and avoid potholes. Even holes as small as 2 inches deep can be enough to flip you off the scooter.
