My desktop's upload speeds started crawling when wired, so I switched to WiFi.

Fixed the issue with this:

Why did they enable that by default?

No idea, but my upload speeds immediately went from 0.08 MBPS to 950 MBPS.

Ouch. Happens to be Killer Networks was known for terrible drivers for years, but they've gotten much better since Intel acquired them. Interesting that this was a recent change. I'll check on my own desktop.

A KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) switch is a hardware device that allows you to control multiple computers or devices with a single set of peripherals, such as a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

In the context of using one monitor with multiple DVRs/cctv, a KVM switch can be used to switch between the different DVRs/cctv inputs and display the output on the shared monitor. This can be particularly useful for surveillance systems where you need to monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously from different DVRs.

Here's how it works:

1. You connect each DVR/cctv to the KVM switch using video cables, such as HDMI or VGA, and USB cables for controlling the DVRs.

2. Connect the KVM switch to the shared monitor using a video cable.

3. Using the KVM switch, you can switch between the different DVR/cctv inputs to display their output on the shared monitor.

For example, if you have four DVRs/cctv cameras, you can connect them all to a 4-port KVM switch. Then, you can switch between the different inputs to view the output from each camera on the shared monitor.

Overall, a KVM switch can be a convenient solution for managing multiple devices that require a shared monitor, such as surveillance systems with multiple DVRs/cctv cameras.

wisenet has a control switch that can connect up to 16 different CCTV systems to one control screen, but it requires a license for each camera so it can be costly. There are other options that can take two inputs  and create one output. However if you just want to switch and don't need both at once the. Kvm mentioned above is the most cost effective option.

Thanks, any specific type of switch ?

Happened again after a software update. Killed Killer and it's back to normal.
