On every post, dan add the following :
"CardCash guarantees gift card’s value for 45 days after purchase."

I feel very sad for you, try maybe to email them, and see if and how they could help you.

CardCash has set up a special customer service email address for DansDeals readers. If you purchase a gift card through DansDeals and have a problem with the order please email DansDeals@CardCash.com to get your issue resolved.

Good luck

I think something like this would really catch people’s attention:
WARNING!!!CardCash guarantees gift card’s value for 45 days after purchase. After 45 days you should assume your balance will be drained and your cards will be worthless.

I think OP wanted to vent his frustration.
I also think that he's expressing his belief that Dan's 45 day warning would be stronger if he was clear about the possible consequences of keeping a GC too long.

My condolences to him.

Indeed. And the most frustrating situations in life are when we realize that we have no one to blame but ourselves (which happens to be the case in more than 99% of the time).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Who in the world buys gift cards unless it's with an intended immediate use?

I could see someone stocking up on Brooks Brothers gift cards during the year when they’re plentiful and saving them for a 4 @ $199 sale.

Really sorry for you. I hope you can recover your loss.

Agree. People may not realize the serious consequences from the current simple disclaimer.
My feeling is that the way the current disclaimer is written, most people just gloss over it. If it would be elaborated some way similar to above,  the risk involved would be more obvious to people.

This problem has nothing to do with CC it's like this with any GC.

Some stuff just need common sense.
I don't think this is "common sense". This is not a rule/risk that is obvious to the average innocent buyer.

I agree that a more specific disclaimer would be helpful to those who have not done this before and may not understand how big the risk is. I feel bad for the OP that s/he learned the hard way with such a large amount.

Many stores will reissue gc if you call them and ask I emailed AF asking for them to transfer the funds of a card I bought from cardcash to a new number and they did.

I have lots of empathy. I might have lost more than OP with such mistakes (hence the WE in my post above regarding blame. Though buying secondary market GCs without immediate intended use isn't one of them).

My experience with Cardcash was that I purchased $1200 in HP gift cards and encountered an issue when using them. They immediately refunded the money to me.

Do you want to mention that people have waited a few months to use their gift cards and then found that the funds were gone? Or is that too much of a turn-off?

At very least the disclaimer could be red so people are more likely to notice it.

Sorry to the OP, that does stink.

Here is the current disclaimer:
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/gift-cards/save-exclusive-extra-6-gift-cards-cardcash-save-gas-coffee-travel-grocery-stores-walgreens-gift-cards/

How would people suggest changing it?
It may be helpful to explain what the risk is so the uninformed understand that there is a real risk to keeping the card for more than 45 days. Something like "Due to the inherent risks in the secondary GC market, there is a risk the card balance will be used by an unscrupulous seller, so be careful to use the GC within the 45 day guarantee window." That being said, I have had GCs for more than 45 days multiple times without an issue (usually small balances because I estimated spending more in Target over the month than I actually did).
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Maybe put it in red or something or repeat it at the top or bottom of the post.

?

Does this mean the BB (best buy, not brooks bothers) GC I got for trading in the echo dots will be useless as I have no intention of using them anytime soon?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Its similar to trusting someone with your money you dont realy trust. Stores are not banks and usally dont have protections for gift cards, so why keep your money in and with them.

People with common sense are aware of a world where computer and other forms of hacking happen every day, so common sense would say keep money where secure.
