Agree with the previous 2 posts. I have both a Schwab and Capital One account and both are free and work great. I have found Schwab gives a slightly better exchange rate. On the same day a month ago I got 3.711 (Shekel per dollar) from Capital One and 3.716 from Schwab.
The fx rate is set by Visa or Mastercard so I guess visa is better

Are the Allpoint ATMs? Have you done it recently? I think I saw somewhere that Sofi changed their policy to only Allpoint

What is the foreign exchange fee on the SoFi Checking account?
1 year ago Updated
If your SoFi Checking account Debit Card purchase or ATM withdrawal is in a foreign currency, the amount will be converted to US dollars by Mastercard based on their exchange rate at the time of settlement.

A 0.9% foreign convenience fee is charged, which SoFi pays rather than passing the cost on to you.

There is a 0.2% foreign exchange fee charged by Mastercard that we do not reimburse, it will be calculated into your transaction directly.

What about ATM fees? My understanding is that they only have free ATM fees for Allpoint atms

Allpoint's 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs are located in local, regional and national retailers across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Australia and the United Kingdom.

So no.
Leumi (blue), Poalim (red), merchentile (green) all have no fee withdrawals.

It’s very reliable IME, legit company. As for rates and whether it’s the best option, that probably depends on whether you’re able to find better alternatives, but it isn’t awful and for small amounts it might not even be worth your time shopping around.
