Since when has "finding a need" ever been a factor for any guy in history to spend endless hours building some sort of nifty (read: useless) gadget?
Or buying :) welcome to DDF!

they really need a transcription option for voice notes
I'm waiting to see how they would transcribe " Halo halo halo vus husdi du deleted, vus husdi duu deleted"
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I was planning on making something like that before I found this splitter that I'm using now, but I really don't need it. I just pause/mute the computer or phone as necessary. I haven't found a need for a hardware switch.
This was more than 5 years ago and it was just a few dollars. I looked on amazon now but can't find it. It was good because I could pick up the phone without needing to pause / mute the computer.

Ok. @whYME time to get to work. Put together some kind of ransomware attack on WhatsApp to be released only once they implement the following features:

1. Ability to block voice notes.
2. Ability to block out messages from certain individuals in a group chat.
3. Ability to filter out duplicate forwards
4. Last but not least: a one button instant message that will send האַלאָוּ האַלאָוּ וואָס האָסטוּ דאָ דעליטעד?

Most Hasids can't type English properly, so they adopted the super annoying lifestyle of endless voice notes. From personal to business, and everything in between. T9 word at least taught some a little English, back in the day.

I would say that there is Chasidim, Litvakes, and then there is another total different specie, called "halo halo guys" who're putting at least 4 halos in every sentence, among other weird minhagim they've adopted. These guys typically use voice notes rather than struggling with English.

This exists...
But try running a average voice note (let alone a Jewish one) through it and see what it pops out...

+1000000

To whit, my setup at work right now is a Plantronics switcher that connects to my work IP phone and my computer, into which I plug in a Plantronics C720 headset that also connects to my cell via Bluetooth. There are switcher buttons on both the phone/PC hub and the headset cord, but I never need them since it switches automatically based on what's sending audio (priority to the phone/cell). And then on top of that my cell is connected to my PC via USB so I can control it with my mouse and keyboard via the Vysor app.

You missed the point that they are 90% Yiddish when officially English

Whatsapp should add an option to block voice notes.

Unrelated, but last night at 12:30am in my business group of 250 members, someone unintentionally sent a 20 minute voice note of themselves snoring. Damn that's embarrassing.

Would love to see how that transcribes the classic האלא האלא וואס האסטו דיליטעד?
