best student card with bonus points

The law (rules) just changed and banks are now only asking for your personal (not household) income on applications.

I'd say you can still get away with reporting household income, you can always say you didn't realize it changed.

I'd start with Chase Freedom for the $100 back.  It's a good card to have anyway.

Thanks for the replies. Umm...I feel stupid now but I have no idea how my credit is. I'm assuming it's not bad because I have a credit card under my name and I've always paid the bills on time (or early) but I also heard that one card doesn't get you much credit. I'll apply for the Chase Freedom and see what happens. Thanks

no expert, but i checked my credit score last week, and it was up in the 750's from having one student  CC with a limit of 900 for three years and always paying early/on time.

I just signed up for Chase Freedom with $300 cash back (30,000 points) for just spending $500 within 3 months... pretty easy to do.  That is a 60% return... Madoff couldn't even get that
