I wasn't asked, but I don't understand why the school should be perceived as having the same outlook as one of the parents that sends there. (Maybe if it had to do with the parents opinion on how the school should be doing something), but this is just a loony person that happens to send their kid to the school.

The larger point is everyone should speak out. Religions should be at the forefront of these fights. Practice what you preach!!!

No one is perceiving the school as having that outlook, which is precisely why I would expect the school to come out strongly against it.

They should start with this as part of a mandatory curriculum.

When I played that video to my DW yesterday, she asked me how come these people were able to say things like that, while being filmed, with no consequence? Why weren't they arrested? I explained to her that free speech is constitutionally protected.

However, I think any normal human being would be horrified by this. Blame the innocent victims for the fact that your child couldn't get out of school for a few hours, and continue with hateful rhetoric. I think most schools realize that education is partnership between the school and the parents. Can the school tolerate such a partner? Could the school allow such sentiment to be expressed and harbored within the community of the school?

Not at all what I said. I am not telling them what to do, it is up to them, but I would think that they should PUBLICLY denounce such talk, and implement some kind of program in their school to eradicate such thinking. Which is why I suggested to start with the Daryl Davis TED talk, though it would probably need to be heavily expanded upon, so that people understand that his point isn't only about hatred towards black people.

I believe that tweet is faked. The only place on twitter where the screenshot appears has a header that says "Michele replied" but is cropped out here. Given how easy it is to manufacture twitter screenshots (just hit F12 and change the text to anything you want) and the fact that there aren't any other instances of replies, it's not likely that its real.
