Flash drives are not reliable, hard drives are not reliable, CDs/DVDs are not reliable, and SSDs are not reliable. Scientists have been looking for a reliable storage medium for ages, but in the meantime, they haven't found on that is commercially viable. Amazon is also not reliable, but unlike most of the known universe, they keep multiple copies - so in theory, when one dies, they replace it. And that, my friend, is the mehalech to use.
Make sure you keep them in more than one place.
Regarding flash drives and SSDs in particular, the data is stored using electricity, and as such, one should plug them into power every once in a while to renew their electricity - and determine if one of your copies has died, at which point, you create another copy. Hence,
