Help Booking Turkish Airline with Chase or Amex Points

I never book tickets with points so I need some quick guidance.
I have both Chase and Amex points saved up for years. Where and how would I get the best value in booking an international Turkish Airline flight for a relative coming to visit us for the holidays?

Turkish doesn't work with Sabre anymore so Amex can't book them anymore.
Chase should still be able to book Turkish

Same concept as above. However it also depends on what kind of card you have when it comes to pay with points.

I call Chase to book with the points or do I transfer them to an airline affiliated with Turkish?

Go to pointsyeah.com and find which airline has the best/cheapest flight available for your desired date.

Check if that airline is a Chase or Amex transfer partner.

If it is, confirm that the flight and # of tickets is indeed available for that price on that specific airlines' website.

Transfer the points from Chase/Amex to the desired airline and book your tickets.

If the flight is relatively cash cheap, book via the Chase travel portal instead of transferring points to an airline.

Valuation is in the eye of the beholder. In terms of portal redemption (booking the ticket with Chase or Amex directly), Amex is 1:1, while Chase Preferred is 1:1.25. So:
4) assuming price is the same as Kayak ($1k) it'll cost you 80k Chase UR points
5) assuming price is the same as Kayak ($1k) it'll cost you 100k Amex MR points

You can log into your Chase/Amex accounts and go to book travel to see exactly what they have available and how many points it'll cost you.

I would go for the 80k Chase booked via the portal, unless you have specific reason for getting rid of Amex points in which case 94k at Lifemiles is your next best-bet.
