Pesach Programs generally have the hotel switch the locks to manual key entry.
Also, you might want to ask you local rabbi, some hold you need to make an eruv chatzeros to be able to carry from room to room and in the main hallways..

Has anyone done research on central AC, I think they work on a motion sensor.

Personally I avoid hotels with only electronic doors like the Danieli Venice.

I always scope out the place to see the stairs situation.  Hotels may not have lobby access from stairs (PH Paris, although there is an open exit to the street) or access can be locked to the floors (LM Chiang Mai) or to the exits (PH MEL, PH SYD).  Some staircases (Westin and Sheraton Waikiki have lights that are triggered as you walk down them.  Sometimes opening the balcony will turn off A/C.  Mini-Fridges can have lights when you open them.

All of this stuff can be rectified by yourself or hotel staff by overriding procedures or finding you a room on the lobby floor as long as you leave sufficient time to find all of the problems.
Is there anything that can be done about this? Would the hotel turn off the sensors over Shabbos?

Haven't tried it at a hotel but on a cruise I tied a gartel to the inside door handle and left a little sticking out the bottom of the door. I just had to pull the gartel and the door opened. :)
So this is where I read it!! Have to say thanks. Used it in a hotel in Denver and it worked like a dream!!
