Im flying from NYC-TLV on AC in "L" class and from TLV-NYC on LX in "S" class as per Continentals website I will be receiving 100% elite qualifying miles. This would work for silver under the regular Silver status requirements, since it's a match the 10,000 miles need to be flown on Continental or United as per the email they sent me. Very upsetting... I thought I would be able to hold on to my status for this year.
"-For Silver Elite, fly 10,000 Elite qualifying miles or 15 Elite qualifying points within the 90-day conditional period.
-For Gold Elite, fly 17,500 Elite qualifying miles or 22 Elite qualifying points within the 90-day conditional period.
-For Platinum Elite, fly 35,000 Elite qualifying miles or 40 Elite qualifying points within the 90-day conditional period.
Qualifying flights must be operated by Continental, Continental Express, Continental Connection, United®, or United Express® with a Continental or United flight number and credited to your OnePass account. Flights operated by Continental or United that have a partner’s codeshare flight number and Continental or United codeshare flights operated by any other airline, regardless of how the ticket is purchased, do not qualify.
Once you meet the appropriate threshold, you will remain a Silver, Gold or Platinum Elite member through January 31, 2012 unless you qualify for Elite status based on the standard Elite qualification requirements posted at
www.continental.com. You may only qualify for the same Elite status level as your matched status. If you do not meet the flight requirement within the 90-day period for the status we are matching, you will return to your previous level of membership and will not be able to request an Elite Status Match Challenge for another five years.
