There were other fun stuff too. You could get an Amex gold and platinum, call up a rep, and they would hand you 175k points. Then you could close the cards, open new ones, rinse and repeat.

I very much enjoyed the stars aligning last month for BBGC: 5x FR + BBGC rates skyrocketing + last month before new limits set in + a certain CC bonus netted quite the profit. Wasn't the easiest money I've made but sometimes actually having to work for your money can be more enjoyable than clicking a few buttons on your computer

Another fav for me was being able to take the Island Hopper and visit ROR. I wouldn't have even known about either of those if not for DDF. Unfortunately Jellyfish Lake was closed when I was there so I guess I'll just have to go back. (Won't be taking the Island Hopper in Y again though, that was brutal.)
