Anyone fund TDF with Paypal Giving and can advise timeline/reliability? Normally I would just test it myself with a small amount first but as it's almost year end I'd be a bit more comfortable with a bunch of DP's that people did it with no issue. (I sent a smaller amount on the 21st and don't see it yet but tdf said it may take a few weeks to process, just want to hear from other users as well).

All donations made to PPGF before the 15th of the month will be disburssed  to TDF around the 25th. Any donation after the 15th won't be sent until the 25th of the next month. So it's unlikely that  your donation From the 21st will post in TDF until Jan 25.
But you can claim a tax deduction this year for the donation to  PPGF...

What are the latest reviews on DAF's? Currently have fidelity. I hate that they don't have an option to write checks so looking for alternatives.

Are there any DAF's that let you write checks?

I personally prefer the transparency of a set fee, over letting the DAF keep proceeds of contributions not cashed by the charity, and not knowing how much that wastage adds-up-to.

Is there any DAF that that has non prepaid $1-$2
certificates?

All donations made to PPGF before the 15th of the month will be disburssed  to TDF around the 25th.

Yep, showed up right on schedule. Got an email from TDF afternoon of Jan 25th that new funds are available and ready for giving from PP Giving.

Thanks again.

If you transfer appreciated securities into DAF, are only those shares exempt from capital gains? Or does amount transferred get deducted from gain on whole position? (I assume the former but just confirming.)
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

If you buy 2 shares at $10, and they grow to $100 each, and after holding for a year or more then you transfer one share to a DAF, you get a tax deduction for the $100 you donated.

If you then sell the other share, you'd pay taxes on the $90 of appreciation.

How do you use pp giving fund and ensure it ends up in your donors fund account?

Use the same email. Or just notify the DAF that it’s your deposit.

Seems donor fund no longer accepts funding via pp giving fund. Does anyone know if other DAFs do? (Or accept funding via cc without a surcharge)

Donors fund is try to be the Jewish fidelity/Schwab. Stick with OJC/Pledger they know what the Heimish people need and have a person to talk.

OJC is the most acceptable. But their online platform needs work. Pledger is newer but they try to cater to everyone.

Donors Fund is the only one I know that doesn't charge a fee for online grants. That lets me essentially give 100% of my charge to charity by using PP via DF. All others have a fee.

That's exactly why I chose them and would prefer to stay with them
