Buying 4 High End Appliances for kitchen renovation and debating which way to go for $13k worth of purchases:
Wolf Oven (2 Yr Factory warranty).....$4400
Wolf Induction Cooktop (2 Yr Factory warranty)....$2300
GE Monogram Advantium Microwave (1 Yr Factory warrranty)...$3400
Wine Storage (1.5 Yr Factory warranty)...$2000

I am using a couple of credit cards (CIP and Amex Biz Gold) to meet the minimum spend.  They only add 1 year of protection, I believe (couldn't find details on Amex Biz Gold if it offers any extended protection).

Option A)
Buy a 5 year total zero deductible extended warranty for $750 for all appliances.
(Wolf Oven/GE Monogram Advantium Microwave are $229 each + tax, Wolf Cooktop/Wine Storage are $129 each + tax)
Option B)
?????????????

I welcome your input.

Me personally would expect my appliances to work for 5 years without any problems and would take extra care while using all the above!

Now for your own sake it might be worth an investment of $150 per year for insurance!
I personally wouldn't purchase it, while many others would once they're spending that amount of money!

Wish you much healthy and happiness out of your new remodeled kitchen and appliances!

Thanks for responding.  It is a tough call.
I was hoping that there was a third party option that was less but I think that I am stuck with this option.

I’ve bought GE,Frigidaire and other appliances.  I’ve always bought the extended warranty.  It gets used on one appliance or another, but ends up saving me money over all.   With 4 appliances, the chances of needing something fixed increases.  So go for it.

Def worth the warranty. I have the advantium and while it's great, I've had to use the warranty several times -(GE's warranty - didn't pay a/t for it, but that's a diff story) If you have to pay out of pocket for parts, repair or replacement it'll cost you a lot more than the warranty imho.

Most appliance stores have a warranty to sell. If you trust the store, they usually will give you a decent warranty.

I think at one point Town Appliance was giving some level of warranty for free, not sure if that's still happening though.

Is Costco warranty worthwhile? They basically show you that between membership and their citi credit card you get 4 years of free warranty coverage.

Today’s appliances are so digital that the warranty is completely worth it. They malfunction so quickly and parts are so expensive in addition to service fees.

They did offer me a warranty, but it seemed to me a bit expensive.

Was wondering if anyone had a specific company that I can quote
