There’s no doubt that he’s hearing from his parents. His father has been known to plow through Jewish school-bus stop signs on our corner as well.

With all that said, I still think we had a productive conversation and I plan to talk to the son as well. I’m not sure how easy it will be do undo years of hate and indoctrination but if I can help nudge him and his mother to a more neutral stance, and learn something myself in the process, I think it’ll be well worth my time.

They’re only here for 13 years, and I had a friend living in this neighborhood 6 years ago. They’re actually on one of the most frum blocks in the neighborhood- all of their immediate neighbors are frum. I’ll leave it up to you to decide if that’s irony or the opposite.

No, and it's highly inappropriate to imply it does. I have no idea the background and reason for the attack, but as horrific as it is for Jews to be fighting, lumping it here gives it the veneer of saying we deserve it from others because we do it to ourselves.
