Only if the mother is Jewish. But that’s only technically speaking. From a practical perspective, once someone is intermarrying, they and their kids are not usually returning to Judaism.

That is a possibility. To say Jews cease to exist almost sounds like you are talking about a pure race, AKA white nationalist.

Right, I over simplified and mispoke. It would take generations of intermarriage to shrink the size of the jewish population, but it's been happening in the US for a long time already.

If we take 50 Jewish women and they all marry non-Jews or all marry Jews, the number of Jewish children is the same.

This is real life not a statistic chart though.

Jewish women in a community get married and have kids and tell their kids they are Jewish.

All 3 of those things need to happen to know who a Jew is albeit number 3 is a bit more murky I suppose.

But practically 1 and 2 don't happen as much with intermarriage families.  And it's not uncommon for the female line of a family to end in a few generations.

My point was that the impression from *news coverage* is that white supremacists are the biggest anti Semitic threat, but in truth if a Jew is beaten up *because they're Jewish" in the USA, it's far more likely to be done by a black, Hispanic, or Muslim person than a white person.

Technicalities aside, assimilation is what would effectively mean Jews disappearing/blending into the broader landscape and that starts long before intermarriage.
