When a Jewish woman intermarries, there are less chances (50%?) the children will identify as Jews. Hence within a few short generations (2-3), there are no more witnesses to their Jewish status. So they lose their halachic status as Jews. Only when Moshiach comes, perhaps their status will be revealed. There may very well be millions of such people roaming the earth now. We have no idea, and they don't make up our current Jewish nation today.
So is that a threat to Jews or just Judaism, if their halachically not counted anymore?

I can't speak for them, but if they do it's not based on Torah which is what defines them as a jew in the first place.

Conversion does not make them a non jew. Still a Jew.

what i think is confusing you is that if the m/f ratio is 50/50 then it should never decrease, you lose the men when he marries a non-jew but the children of the woman who marries a non-jew stay Jewish, so it should cancel out. This is mostly correct. The problem is people don't have exactly equal amounts of boys and girls. Because the only valid lineage is consecutive females every woman that has no daughters becomes a dead end, it does not help if her sons have daughters.

If the amount decreases 2 girls to 3 boys it will decrease 2-3 if male parent is a Jew or non-Jew. The male father in equation does not matter.
