IANAL, but FWIU, no. You are allowed to say racist things to someone. You cannot harm them or even threaten to harm them in any way. But a mere racist statement is not illegal. If you say something criminal, like threatening to hurt the person, and also say something racist, now that crime turned into a hate crime.

Even if I grant you that Israel is oppressing Palestinians, how is a random Jew in Miami responsible for that? That's the whole point, blaming random Jews for the actions of a country thousands of miles away just by virtue of them having the same religion *is racist*.

THAT'S THE POINT! Antisemitism has become mainstreamed to the point where it has to be explained how it is problematic to scream at random Jews minding their own business in Miami!

No one would think its ok for me to scream at a Muslim on the NYC Subway something about Muslims being terrorists. Everyone understands it is wrong to accost Asians because of the sins of the Chinese government, but Jews get accosted EVERY SINGLE DAY on the Subway, on the street, on college campuses, etc. etc. etc.

If someone calls me a Kike on the street, the media would report on the story. If someone says "Free Palestine* they are commended.

There isn't. They both are accosting me by virtue of the fact that I am Jewish. Both those sentiments have led to, and continue to lead to, Jews getting beaten up and/or killed. The Palestine issue is a way to make it *seem* like it's a valid human rights cause, but it is just plain old anti semitism. The same people who scream Free Palestine at us today used to curse us out with other words before that phrase became so ubiquitous.

I've been spat on and cursed at by Muslims in South Africa. If that happened today, it would be together with a "Free Palestine" or something similar.

Accosting Jews in the street is antisemitism, and there is no difference if a Muslim is doing it while screaming free Palestine, a White Supremacist is doing it while screaming Kike, or if a black American is doing it screaming about landlords or fake Jews.

This is not a matter up for disagreement. Explain in simple terms how equating a random Jew in Miami with Israel is not as racist as equating a Muslim with Al Queda, Isis, the Turkish, Iranian, Syrian, Egyptian, Indonesian, Qatari, and on and on government.
