Similar experience a couple weeks ago coming from Manhattan to CH, one guy on the train was just going on one long rant the entire 40 minutes.
He seemed not 100%, and the type of guy you just ignore, so that's what I did.

2 frum girls got on at some point, tried answering back and asking no one in specific why no one is saying anything.
Either way, at the next stop they went to the next car.

These are daily occurrences on the Subway post-COVID. The other day I saw a guy retrieve a switchblade from his knapsack in case he’d have to use it after a half-naked psycho bumped into another passenger.

It's one thing to see a crazy guy ranting on the subway, which, albeit scary at times, is a NY story as old as the subway. Quite another to have otherwise regular passengers decide to berate Jewish passengers.

The former I totally get why people don't intervene. The latter? Inexcusable

On 10/1/23, did people in Israel or Russia think they would be hosting pogroms this month the likes of which haven't been seen since WW2?

Is it not within the realm of possibility, granted a remote one, for a massive pro-Pogrom rally in Brooklyn to turn into a Pogrom?

There hasn't been a pogrom yet, but based on what we are all hearing from scary experiences our family and friends are having, if we haven't experienced it ourselves, we feel like we're sitting on a tinderbox.

Over the past 2 weeks whenever I am doing mivzoim, thankfully I have not received negative remarks from anyone (I know those who have).

Of those non jews that came over to talk and give their verbal support for Jews/israel - almost all were older (age 45+).
