My view on a statement like Rav Miller's is that whatever happens we are supposed to take a lesson out of it. When a tragedy happens and we say it may have been because of this that or the other thing it is simply to take a lesson from it for personal improvement. It is not to lay fault.

This just happened. An armed citizen stopped an attack after it happened. This is a best case scenario.

All the guns in the world will not stop the initial attack.

Many major terror attacks in Israel were only stopped because somebody was armed that includes car ramming attacks, the bulldozer attacks, knife and axe attacks etc.

Everybody's an armchair analyst, the facts of reality speak for themselves.

And the responses comical, here we have a guy stabbing people and you talk about how guns are not the answer.

And entirely not true, a guy in a defenders hands, will often scare attackers off , most aren't suicidal

Many times initial attacks will prevented by an armed person present, second of all you would have no idea how many more would have been killed had an armed person not been present.

What are the stats people, in the United States with it's lose gun laws, are there less shooting victims than other countries, because for every bad man with gun there is a good man with a gun, or is there more victims because the lack of strict gun laws? The answer to this should basically end the debate on gun control. Unless you view the second amendment (designed for farmers in vast ranches 200 years ago) as the word of God which gotta be protected even with cost of numerous innocent human lives.

If a criminal wants to kill you all the guns in the world will not protect you.
If you want to believe it makes you safe that is fine. Just don't tell ne there is no Easter bunny.

Everyone uses statistics to show their side is right.
One stat I have not seen anyone dispute is we have more guns than people in this country. So my question is if that is not enough guns how many more do we need?

You're being rather simplistic, probably on purpose to make your point. To think that there is such a simplistic answer to such a complicated issue is asinine, sorry.

Also a little oversimplistic. The number of guns doesn't really matter as much as whose hands those guns are in. The vast majority of guns are owned by a relatively small percentage of the population so the question shouldn't really be about whether or not we need more or less guns in general but rather whether we need more or less guns in certain people's hands.

That is an easy one. We need less guns in criminals hands and more guns in trained individuals hands.
Now how do we do that? Add more guns to the mix?

That's not a way to address a valid argument.

Correct so if a criminal wants to call me, all the gun laws in the world won't stop him. You validated your own point.

Not true. Many Americans own guns. Much less carry.

The debate over gun control is never ending, not because it's so complicated that even the biggest brains can't figure out the right approach, rather because it has become a sort of religion to many. In addition, since in general the Republicans are pro guns and the Democrats are anti, what happened is that I've seen many people that because they're pro Trump, they're also all for no gun control, despite they've never seen a gun in their life just on an officers waist, and they can't even name a single type of gun. Pathetic.

Per Gallup

"WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Thirty percent of U.S. adults say they personally own a gun, while a larger percentage, 43%, report living in a gun household."

Btw we currently live in a society that is increasingly anti law and order, NYC decides it's a sanctuary City, police are bad.. violence is the answer.. we have rappers shooting people up etc.. yeah that's a society where I and my family will be armed.

Every one of my siblings and cousins and their spouses can shoot well

No
I am not going to ask what way they would go on guns laws but would you say the constitution should change as society changes?

Around 30% own guns according to the latest stats. That is a big minority.

You just listed a few of the many reasons why this is such a complicated issue, why can't you see that. Just because you believe that there is a very simple solution, doesn't mean that it could ever get passed into law. People nowadays seem to be living in a fantasy world where all political issues have very simple solutions that just can't be passed because "the other side" won't agree. These things become complicated specifically because of the fact that we can't agree, the sooner we realize that, the sooner we can begin to work on actual solutions that can actually be passed into law.
