He’s claiming Texas the guy (most likely) used a gun because guns are legal in Texas, while in NY and other places attackers will use a knife or a gun purchased from another state because it’s not legal.

You have no way of knowing that. Common sense tells us making something harder to get will deter some. Did it deter this guy? I have no way of knowing and neither does anyone else.

The animal was previously arrested 7 times, and the Times also reports that “in 2018, Thomas was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon”. I have little to no doubt that he was very capable of getting a gun if he had the desire to.

You need to look past any individual incident and look at them collectively. For something to have a chance to work it has to applied in all situations.

I think we can both agree for the most part these criminals are stupid. If they were smart (not sure what word to use) more would have been killed in all these tragedies. Just look at LAS.

I was addressing a post that was discussing individual incidents.
Looking at it collectively - I don’t think the gun laws in any state would influence if a gun would be used in a premeditated killing spree, which all the recent incidents were. I can see how they can influence non-premeditated murders though.
