I hope so too, but asking "what is behind the hate" isn't appropriate, rather you should be asking "what can we do to stop the hate". Antisemitism flourishes for thousand of years already without any reason, so don't just wake up and ask what's the reason behind it.

I don't think if there's a short term solution it shouldn't be utilized, but, I don't believe in a long term solution. Except in the religious sense.

ETA: Not because it's permanent, just because I don't see it addressing any immediate threat.

The education system, certainly in NY, is currently about as anti-semitic as they come. Don't see them taking real, meaningful steps to address the issue.

Nothing to do with fear. Jealousy? Yes! Feeling of inequality? Yes! But fear? Where do you see that.

Now a sense of inequality can be channeled in various ways. It is those that portray the "haves" as evil and taking away from the "have nots", rather than showing everyone the opportunity to be a "have" or at least the best they can be, are the petri dishes that cause the sense of inequality to mushrooms into full fledged hate and violence.

Indeed. It needs to be a lot broader than that, but if there's any hope to start somewhere, that would be the place. Unfortunately there seems to be a huge breakdown of morality and values, and unfortunately in some communities more than others.

If only people like Ben Carson would get the exposure that Sharpton and Farrakhan get (or a lot more) that might be a step in the right direction. But unfortunately I think if you do a survey of name recognition, Ben Carson would fall far behind those two trouble makers.
