Its bothered me for awhile why we're always on the defensive, always running away. I think it comes down to this; the vast majority of us growing up in yeshivas have never fought anyone. People just don’t know how to. In all my yeshiva years I never recall a major fight. The oilam would literally need to take fighting classes.
Not only that, they probably froze when seeing this sudden punch in the face, and before they knew it was all over. 25 years ago "כאפצעם׳ס" was a daily event, since then most of the thugs and their families were driven out and we forgot the game.
Even though he would be out of jail within the hour I still wish the bystanders would pin him to the ground until police would arrive and take him into arrest with the whole commotion. From his gear it doesn't look like he is too used to such an honor.
