Citi --- annual travel credit problem
« on: December 30, 2019, 12:06:41 PM »
what recourse do I have re the Citi Expedia+ Voyager card’s $100 annual credit toward airline incidentals on qualified airlines?

I paid for luggage online on Spirit airlines, but per Citi its coded as a ticket so I cant get bonus. Spirit claims system is automatic and can not be changed.

U really think I have a chance of disputing the charge with citi just because it’s coded as a ticket (actual charge amount is correct)?

So after speaking to 2 separate “supervisors” with no luck, I am disputing the charge.

Both supervisors claim that even though acct was opened In November 2019 and the airline charge in December 2019, I get nothing bec I have to wait to wait until 2020 before travel credit benefit kicks in.

I did have another charge in January 2020 which had the matching travel credit on my January statement as Intended. Their explanation was that if I would’ve gotten a credit in December (charge #1) and another credit in January (charge #2), that means I get 2 credits in 1 year which can’t happen.

I tried explaining how per the T&C it’s doable as credit is per calendar year not based on year account opened.

Any recourse?

From terms & conditions:
u will receive up to $100 in statement credits per calendar year (January through December billing statements) towards eligible airline incidental fees....
