Amex Aspire airline credit working?
« on: January 03, 2020, 06:21:45 PM »
It's the calender year. Will any flight tax or fee amount on AA.com work to get the airline credit on my Aspire card?

Looking to book international partner award on AA.com and tax and fees for 3 of us comes to around $300.

What about any AA, or SA  gift card purchase?

Thank you

The aspire credit works like the plat and gold credit. No need to open a new thread.

The aspire credit works like the plat and gold credit. No need to open a new thread.

But they made negative changes so award taxes and fees no longer works and no more credits for gift cards as well.

I selected UA as the airline. Booked awards and tax/fee was $16 something total. I didn't get the credit.

I have  to book international partner awards on United again and tax is like $320 but I think I won't get the credit.

You now get the credit only for full cash care booked with the aspire?

DP on new Aspire Airline Credit
Bought $100 United Travel Bank and got credited both credits. Good to know it works on the new credits, the question is about other airlines.  Now I have a $50 credit, what are the chances of a clawback?

I’m having a very hard time understanding how everyone is ok with the fact that the benefit we paid for with the AF in 2023 (the annual $250 airline credit in 2024) was taken away without prior notice.

I paid $450 for the card, expecting to largely offset it with the 2024 airline credit (I had already used 2023 credit prior to renewal). So how is it ok that they took it away without prior notice? How is it even legal?

My $450 AF just posted on the 7th.
I'm def gonna cancel once it's $550 next year.

What I'm not sure is if I should already cancel it now for the $450. will I be able to get enough value in the next 12 months for $450?
