well it can really go either way, similar to the discussion about the Rama in Y"D 98:2
in any event, its a chidush to say that if you have a salad that is haadama bc its rov haadama, and you take a portion that happens to be rov haeitz, that you would say ha'eitz. now i have no clue what the din is, im just commenting its a chidush that you have a bowl in front of 2 ppl, each takes a serving, and they could make different brachos

Is the shem decided by the bracha? They are both fruit salad just that one is 51% melon while thew other is 51% hoetz. They both came from the same mixing bowl.

within this "requiring 2 brachos" realm of halacha, it could be 2 minim
