The rambam is definitely legit. (Aside from the change to kenanim, which is consistent with the rest of the page).

I'm no Rabbi, but if it is anything like the auto-tinting glasses, there should be no problem.

Though maybe here you are actually directly causing the change...

The intention is the drink should be cold. Coca cola has on some of their cans part of it turns green to show when it's cold enough.
