Like R' Moshe Bik once said "the.question is if you can read it out if the bathroom" in regards to one of the Jewish newspapers.

Is one allowed to open an oven on Shabbos while the oven is on, and the fire is on, to remove one pan of food while leaving another pan in for tomorrow?

How is different than opening a fridge?

Is one allowed to open an oven on Shabbos while the oven is on, and the fire is on, to remove one pan of food while leaving another pan in for tomorrow?

you mean you tov?
No I meant shabbos
On yt there's no question. He asked about Shabbos
There is still a question on yt see below.
Will your oven work harder if after you open the door ?
Even if it was "on" when door opened, It will stay on for longer now because of your action.
It will cause it to stay in the on cycle longer
+1
They you are definitely not allowed
-1 maybe..

every oven is different but even what your saying is not agreed by all poskim so it's not definitely assur... in the shabbos kitchen page 9-10 look at the note which says " opening an oven door may sometimes cause a fire to ignited (if the oven is set on thermostatic control). Where this possibility exists, some authorities raise doubt as to whether one is permitted to open the door (UNLESS THE FLAME IS ACTUALLY BURNING AT THAT MOMENT). It is advisable to familiarize oneself with the working of ones own oven and to consult a competant halachic authority on this matter."
This^ is the way I have always understood the halacha to be. Ie. If the flame/heating element is actively "on", one may open the door.
When flame is off, it is similar to a fridge, but for some reason the oilam is more machmir on ovens.

How is different than opening a fridge?
See above.

So my question really came after reading a star K pamphlet re ovens, where (from what I understand and remember, ) they stressed multiple times that if you are leaving food in the oven, one may not open the door under and circumstances. Even yt.

This is because the pesik reishe of keeping the fire on longer is nichah lei, and is a grama that is ossur...

Any input is most appreciated!

From their website:https://www.haribo.com/enUS/contact-information-service/faq.html
+1000. This is such a misconception.   I had this argument with so many people already

Causing cold air to enter and cool off ? Maybe.

But the direct benefit of continued warm food is more direct I would think.

Either way, has anyone ever seen this star K chiluk in a sefer?

Removing pin may be muktza - more correct is to move the pins that move up or down... Even so YMMV on this issue. Even according to rshz

I read that star k article as well and I'm almost positive that it was talking only about Shabbos. The issues they raised should not be a concern on yt and may not even be a concern on Shabbos especially if only opening the door when the heating element is already on

http://www.crcweb.org/kosher_articles/ovens_with_shabbos_mode.php

If its on shabbos mode, it is a machlokes apparently.
I'm not who you think I am.

I misremembered. - The issue with removable pins is that once removed or lossened, the shabbos clock function is totally off. You are no longer just delaying the eventual event, rather reinitiating the shut off which is not permitted even according to RSZ

Huh
A shabbos clock without pins is not a shabbos clock. only the ones with multiple switches can be manipulated on shabbos...

Look it up in ssch he explains it better.

Rav moshe never used shabbos clocks to begin with!

Regarding the shabbos clock which has pins, when you remove the on pin when the electronic is off and remains off! You did no action which is assur on shabbos! Or where as removing for ex the off pin from an ac which is on and running and now won't turn off since you removed the off pin there is no problem! Nothing changed.

You kept the ac on and never did any action!

He's talking about RSZA
he's talking about removing and then reinserting a pin

I was not talking about reinserting. He may have been but that is not relevant to ovens.

That being said i did see,not just hear about, a letter from R' Moshe discussing  his psak to someone (could have been a journal or something) saying that anyone who is able to should try very hard to keep cholov Yisroel. I don't remember the exact lashon. Not merely baalei nefesh. Which would mean even us regular people.
R' Moshes psak evolved over the years, originally he said it was only b'dieved but later on he said it's mutar and only a baal nefesh should be machmir. AFAIK all of R' Reuven and R' Dovid's children and grandchildren (I know a lot of them very well) eat Cholov Stam and they certainly are not MO.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

in Igros the progression is mainly the opposite.
